LA Opera...?

Is there any operalover out there who could tell me if Los Angeles opera is good, and how much the cheapest ticket costs?

If you are in Southern California, there is nothing better than LAOpera. If you are looking to see a great show, I highly reccomend going to see either Luisa Fernanda or the Merry Widow. Both have great casts and should be very great productions (Luisa Fernanda has Placido Domingo and Merry Widow has Susan Graham and Rod Gilfrey). Both definately worth going to and tickets start around $30 depending on which day you go. Keep an eye out for special recitals which are amazing. You just missed Deborah Voigt and last year they had some great one's including Dimitri Hvrostovsky. They also had Falstaff last year with Bryn Terfel in it which was pretty good.

LAOpera brings in the top people to do their shows and as a result you get a high quality show. Check it out. If you've never seen opera you'll fall in love with it.

$45
Opera does not equal dining out.
Tickets are around 45.00. YES the opera is great... and they have shows quite often week nights and weekends- my parents are members and LOVE it! I think if you call the dororthy chandler they can give you all of the info. There are also great places to dine at before or after the opera!
