Someone forwarded an email to me of this guy trying out for a talent show in Great Britain , his name is Paul and he sang Opera (from the Phantom of the Opera) and it was amazing!!!!! Anyone know what happened on the show? Did he win or go on to pursue his dream of singing opera? Anyone know what his full name is? Or if he has ever recorded anything? His voice is absolutely phenominal!

His full name is Paul Potts, he won the competition and will consequently appear on the Royal Variety performance later this year.
He's also recorded an album called "One Chance" which is incredible! Simon Cowell gave him the recording contract I think, it was out only a week after the show.

his name is Paul Potts and yes he did win. He is being managed by Simon Cowell and has an album out in the uk and usa before christmas. He is a nice guy and lives right near me.

Hi Angela! Yes he was absolutely great and his name is Paul Potts. He sand Nessum Dorma which always makes me cry but when he sang it, it was phenomenal. He has an album out which I have bought. Not just an incredible singer but a really nice bloke too.
