What nationality is the opera song called Habe?era from Carmen? Where Can I take Opera class?

I would like to know what language is Habe?era from Carmen, and where can I learn how to sing opera like that. I lived in California. It will be good to tell me somewhere that is not too far away from Orange County.

Thank You!

It's in French. The title is Spanish -- the opera is set in Spain -- but the text is French.

Checking with colleges for voice teachers is a good suggestion, though.

It's Spanish and I'm sure if you check the yellow pages, there's voice instructors in your area. You can also check local colleges.
its a french opera set in seville spain. while the music has spanish and gypsy themes, its sung in french. you need a voice teacher your parents can hire one out of the phone book. most opera singers are formally educated in universities. you could call the ucla music department and see if a student there could tutor you for a nominal fee. and they could fill you in on what you need to do to go to school to sing.
