I really want to meet some of my favorite opera stars. Does anyone know where the Met Opera stage door is and how to get there? Also: are you allowed to wait outside? Thanks!

Probably the one marked private, no entry. See if there are any tours of the Met Opera House if you haven't done so %26amp; see what the possibilities are. Also from your avatar it looks like you might sing too. You could write a letter saying what you appreciate about their work. Often, "stars" will reply if they don't feel they are being stalked. I wouldn't demand a reply. Just see what happens...or you could ask a question like how did they have to train their voice etc.

The tricky part is that The Met is not a traditional theatre with a traditional stage door. Because it is in the Lincoln Center complex, there's not a door-on-a-street where you can wait like the Broadway theatres. The dressing rooms and chorus area is under the stage, down some steps and an elevator. If I remember right, there is a door from the dressing room areas that connects to a hallway that goes out to the parking garage - not somewhere you can get to. Sorry.
